I have enjoyed art since I was a little girl and have taken different art classes throughout the years. I've tried many different mediums and enjoyed them all. But when I took a class in watercolor journaling, I felt like I had found my true passion! Since then I have taken classes in watercolor sketching whenever possible and always carry at least a small sketchbook with me wherever I go. I especially love being outside with my sketchbook. It doesn't matter where - on a trip, somewhere in the neighborhood, or even in my own back yard. I love to sit quietly, pay attention to what is in front of me and then try to capture the essence with my pen and watercolors. For me, this is pure joy!

I live in Portland, Oregon where I am surrounded by the beauty of Nature and wonderful urban scenes so it is always easy to find something to put in my sketchbook.
